A Unity of None: Donna Brazile [Updated]

Cross posted at No Quarter

Brazillemouth

It seems that Donna someone should commit me Brazile is starting to have a meltdown. Not since her vainglorious days as Al Gore's failed campaign manager has she been getting so much attention. And these days she uses that attention to weigh in on everything Democratic. Or so she thinks. The trouble is, that by weighing in on everything she is starting to let her biases show and giving everyone a glimpse at the ugly side of the person we all once had great respect for.

A few days ago someone at Hillary is 44 decided to publish the emails received back from Brazile to questions about her seeming Obama bias. To put it mildly, Brazile's comments were hardly what one would expect from a "party leader." In fact, some of the things she said were downright mean. Ben Smith over at Politico picked up on the story and further revealed the dark side of Donna Brazile.

Inside Donna Brazile's BlackBerry

Do you know how many undeclared supers are now just turned off by people like you? Do you understand you're hurting her and not promoting Hillary? Perhaps that explains why a candidate like Obama has raised $40 million in one month. You don't have to e-mail me again.

The Content of HER Character [Updated with Video]

Lessons we learn when we are young tend to stick with us throughout life. Especially when those lessons are learned from people we respect and admire. Hillary Clinton learned a few important lessons from a very great man whose death we both mourn and celebrate on this day. At the tender age of 14, Hillary had her first "Awakening" when a pastor took her to see the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speak in Chicago. The sermon was named: 'Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution.' And no sermon could have been more appropriate or more effective in determining the future of this young woman. Because what she learned that day was that there are issues more important than any of us. There are injustices we must confront because solving them expresses our morality and validates our humanity. As Hillary spoke today at the 40th anniversary of Dr. King's death she payed tribute not only to the man she once met but to the dream he literally gave his life for.

Hillary's Remarks on the 40th Anniversary of Dr. King's Death

As a young woman, I was privileged to be taken to hear Dr. King speak by a youth minister who opened my eyes and ears and my horizons. Dr. King's call to action that evening in Chicago led me to confront a world bigger and broader than the one I inhabited. He had a way of doing that, of pushing us outside our own comfort zone, of making it clear that we had to be part of the revolution that was going on. It wasn't a revolution of guns. It was a revolution of hearts and minds, of attitudes and actions.

When one heard Dr. King speak, and I stood in line for a very long time that night to shake his hand. And he was gracious, and he was kind to lean over to shake the hand of a 14-year-old girl from the from the suburbs of Chicago, who went to an all-white church and an all-white school, and lived in an all-white suburb. But he didn't ask me, as I reached out my hand, where do you live, what is your experience? He just took it and looked in my face and thanked me for coming.

Hillary learned something valuable that day. And it was after that speech that she began to see the world differently. She began to understand that she had been given a privileged life compared to so many less fortunate. And she decided that she would dedicate her life to helping those in need, those who were forgotten and invisible. It was as if she had intuitively understood the deeper meaning of Dr. King's message.

Warning: This is a long diary. It contains substance. If you are fact challenged or allergic to truth go elsewhere. This diary may be harmful to your health.

US News has a very important and extremely enlightening article about the strength of the respective candidacies of Hillary and Obama. While no one can deny that Obama has carried more states, his actual strength in many of the states has been very concentrated, not widespread as the campaign would have you believe. Michael Barone states that Obama Appeals to Academics and Clinton Appeals to Jacksonians. And yes, the title speaks for itself. Obama's support is largely concentrated in areas where among other things he has vast African American support. While Hillary's support is more widespread across the country.

In reviewing the maps of the Democratic primary results, in Dave Leip's electoral atlas, I was struck by the narrow geographic base of Barack Obama's candidacy. In state after state, he has carried only a few counties--though, to be sure, in many cases counties with large populations. There are exceptions, particularly in the southern states with large numbers of black voters in both urban and rural counties. But overall, the geographic analysis has pointed up to me a divide between Democratic constituencies--a divide as stark as that between blacks and Latinos or the old and the young--which has not shown up in the exit polls. It's a division that helps to explain the quite different performances of Obama and Hillary Clinton in general election pairings against John McCain.

As an example of Mr. Barone's very detailed analysis, let's take a look at Michigan where Obama withdrew from the race but encouraged his supporters to vote "Uncommitted."

The Disappeared [Linfar is now Reinstated!]

Update [2008-4-3 11:57:22 by Fleaflicker]: As of this morning, Linfar's membership has been reinstated here. Thank you to everyone that responded and stood up to the injustice.

A disappearance occurs when an organization forces a person to vanish from public view; and I have literally `been disappeared' from MyDD. I still do not know why. I have written 2 posts to Todd Beeton and 1 post to Jerome Armstong for an explanation, a reason, an answer. I have heard from no one.

I have blogged here in behalf of my candidate, on Tibet, and about Factory Workers at Sunrise. My last diary about "Typical White People" aroused a strong and lengthy discussion of racism. It was vigorously attacked by many Obama supporters, all of whom still seem to be blogging freely on MyDD.  I have opposed the candidate I do not support with ideas, facts, opinions and details. I have slandered no one. I have documented each and everything I have written. From comments on my diaries it has been clear that devotees of the other candidate have at times been incensed by my diaries.  And in one comment I remember saying, "Do you not believe in free speech, in the marketplace of ideas?"

Apparently I have my answer. Censorship is a beguiling siren who sings her song to people on all sides of the political spectrum. And it does seem as if some form of censorship is operating with respect to my disappearance as well as that of others from the MyDD diary list which as best I can understand it at this point in time includes: linfar, Universal, bud white and jfk(#s) Others have received warnings. I received no warning and no explanation.

So I wonder if this brief email by Todd Beeton to someone who was wondering what was going on is a fair indication of what is happening:

Anti-Hillary Media Bias Proven!

Cross posted at No Quarter

Something unusual has occurred during the past few days. An actual journalist has been questioning what has become the conventional wisdom concerning Hillary's campaign. Finally we have a respected person bringing in other respected people to discuss the issue of this Democratic nomination process without the constant influx of lies that the Obamedia has perpetuated.

This rational discussion began March 31st on Lou Dobbs Tonight. A segment of the show was dedicated to the negative media bias against Hillary. [The VIDEOS are BELOW.] Perhaps most significant was the fact that Dobbs actually presented hard evidence that proved that the media was biased in favor of Obama.

LOU DOBBS TONIGHT

Those voices in favor of Senator Obama say Senator Clinton should end her campaign for quote "the good of the party." And that a long campaign would quote "tear the party apart and ensure a Republican victory in November", but when it comes to the largest audiences the three nightly broadcast newscasts, the bias is seemingly most pronounced. The nonpartisan Center for Media and Public Affairs has found that since last December, 83 percent of the reporting on Senator Obama was positive. Only 53 percent of the reporting on Senator Clinton was positive.

30% is a significant difference!
It seems clear that this pro-Obama media bias (Obamedia) is an intentional strategy concocted by the Obama campaign and the Obama media supporters.

Obama Supporters Force Mayor Nutter to Shut Down his E-mail Server

Cross posted at No Quarter

As I wrote yesterday, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter's office was flooded with angry calls from Obama supporters after he came out in support of Hillary. Some people doubted my statements but those that bothered to call Mayor Nutter's office confirmed everything that was written. But, as Hyper Educated Uppity Woman reports, his e-mail server was overwhelmed and had to be taken down.

I'll let her describe the well deserved contempt so many of us have.

As part of NoQuarter's encouragement campaign, many readers emailed Mayor Nutter in support of his courage under harrassment. His email was returned by Mailer Daemon. The poor guy had to shut down his email address, so you can just imagine how badly he was harrassed by these savages. My God, these people are fear mongers and race baiters. What's next? Coming to your home and beating the crap out of you? Lining us up and shooting us dead until there are no more Hillary voters left?

We all know how passionate those Obama cultists can be. And they have the Obamedia wrapped around their scrawny little fingers. So we cannot back down, however often they threaten us. We represent the heart and soul of the Democratic party. They represent the far left wing radical wing of the Democratic party. Yet they are so determined to take over the party that they aren't afraid to destroy the party if they can't.

The Courage of Your Convictions (Updated)

As many of you know, Mayor Michael Nutter of Philadelphia took a bold and courageous stance when he came out in support of Hillary. And most recently he has been on ABC and Fox News giving interviews. As a result of his courage, his office has been bombarded by angry calls from Obama supporters.

Let's show Mayor Nutter that he has many friends that support his decision. Would you please call his office today and express that support? The number is: 215-686-1776.

Please do your part to stand up for this wonderful man who is standing up for Hillary. And for you.

For more information about Mayor Michael Nutter see: History Doesn't Pay the Bills

History Doesn't Pay the Bills

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is someone you should get to know. He believes that we should judge people based upon the content of their character. He believes in the the importance of every voter in our democracy. He believes in taking stands that are right even when they aren't terribly popular or may be potentially damaging to one's political future. And Philadelphia Mayor Nutter believes that Barack Obama has made a huge mistake in not completely disassociating himself from his friend and spiritual mentor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
